A little gritty |

I am on my third tub of this shea butter. The first one I received was excellent and I absolutely loved it. The second and third have been a little gritty. I searched around a little bit and it looks like shea butter become gritty due to some processing issues. I am not sure if it affects the properties but it is pretty annoying when trying to apply to your body. I would recommend the unrefined beige which I quite like.

Grittier texture than first tub |

I have to agree with Anonymous Person from Cambridge, MA. My first tub of Whipped Shea Butter had a much creamier texture than my second and third orders. I'm also wondering whether this change has affected the beneficial properties of the whipped shea butter, as I haven't had the same relief from itchy skin as I had with the first tub. Most significantly, I bought a tub of this for a friend, touting its virtues; he must be wondering what I was talking about...

Thought I'd try to help here. Shea can become gritty when it has melted to a liquid, or near liquid, and then cooled back to its original solid state. It doesn't change the properties of the shea, but it can change the texture, which is very frustrating. I suppose this heat sensitivity is why many suppliers will not ship shea in the hot summer months.

I went to a shop in ST Augustine Florida. I purchased Shea Butter from a store there. I ran out and my wife had a great Idea look it up on-line. Well Kudos to her because now I just order it from Natures Shea Butter and We love it. We also purchase the black soap too. So far it has been great , and I have been recomending this to my friends to.

This truly is great stuff, works wonders for my skin. I credit it with helping to soothe, comfort and eventually ease away for good my rosacea. Right now i am waiting for it to arrive and be delivered into my eager hands! Waiting is, as has been said, the hardest part. . .:)
